One day, the carefully planned garden at our new home suddenly yielded a healthy fig tree. The tree grew of its own accord and was no part of the plan. It was a reminder that no matter what plans we have in life, the best outcomes are usually organic in nature - and its growth inspired our business name.

Director - Marketing Specialist
As a digital marketer, Maria’s approach is to define marketing strategy and deliver measurable Marketing campaigns within digital touch points.
Maria has worked extensively with large corporate brands and organisations including the Australian Red Cross, Australia Post, Harbour Town Shopping Centres, plus a wide variety of industries including banking & finance, insurance, manufacturing and not for profit.
Maria has lead marketing, sales and contact centre teams within her corporate roles and as a senior marketing consultant.
In 2007, Maria established Fig Tree Marketing, an Adelaide based digital marketing agency, with an approach to aid business to connect, engage and grow through marketing strategy and digital marketing outcomes.
Along her career, Maria has been involved in project managing CRM solutions with the combination of technology, sales and marketing outcomes. Intrinsic to her style, Maria assists business to focus on building and measuring customer behaviour, with a focus on customer data as the identifier for change to achieve business goals.
Maria’s recent projects include digital marketing strategy and social media campaigns on behalf of Harbour Town Australia Shopping Centres, and consulting to businesses of all sizes and industries. Maria’s formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing.
Creative Director - Design Specialist
Jeremy brings over 16 years broad creative industry experience expertise - including creative/art direction, graphic design, finished art, illustration, and production management - to the Fig Tree Marketing team.
His previous experience in creative direction has seen him build and mentor award winning design departments and manage successful design projects for high profile clients.
With a Bachelor of Arts specialising in design, Jeremy has a strong passion and understanding of design principles and ensures quality control at every stage of the creative process.
It's not just Jeremy's work that sets him apart, it's the way he works too. He believes strongly in making design a collaborative and fun process, and that creativity comes from true collaboration.
Cherie joined Fig Tree Marketing with marketing and public relations experience spanning sectors including the arts, government, food, mining and transport. Most recently, Cherie has playing a key role in delivering communications objectives as part of the ShoGo audience development initiative and Arts SA major and minor events.
With a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of South Australia, Cherie has expertise across a broad spectrum of public relations activity including media liaison and publicity, publications, social media, issues communication and events. Cherie is has previously acted as GreenRoom Advocate for the Adelaide Festival Centre and regularly contributes to artsHub.
Jennie's attention to detail, organisational skills and up-to-the-minute knowledge of current affairs ensures that every opportunity is considered and maximised.
Currently a radio producer and on-air arts interviewer for Radio Adelaide, Jennie has strong skills in media relations. As a Marketing and Communications Consultant for an online multimedia radio broadcaster, she is highly experienced in creating marketing and media proposals and keeping up with innovative social media strategies.
Jennie holds a Bachelor of Arts at the University of South Australia, majoring in communication and media management, and sub-majoring in drama. She is an active contributor in the arts, regularly writing reviews for artsHub and currently acting as GreenRoom Advocate for the Adelaide Festival Centre.
